    • CALLED HOME

Mrs. May Craig, wife of Rodney Craig, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Rivett died at the home of her parents last Saturday at 6 p.m. o'clock after a lingering illness of consumption for seven or eight months.  Deceased was wedded to her husband about eight months ago and has been in failing health since.  She was an active member of the New Hope Baptist church and was blest with friends by the score.  Those who knew her best speak of her as indeed a lovely young lady.  She was but 24 years of age and for this reason the death seems all the more sad.  The funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Petree last Monday evening.  Remains were laid to rest in the New Hope cemetery, followed by a large concourse of sorrowing friends and relatives.  A husband, father, mother, sister and brother mourn the loss, but praise her gain for truly she was a Christian lady.
