KANSAS CITY, Mo. - James E. McManus, 86, of Kansas City, passed away January 22, 2013. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday, January 28, at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church, 4737 N. Cleveland, Kansas City. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery North. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, at Charter Funerals, 77 NE 72nd Street, Gladstone, Mo. Memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hand of Goodwill Industries. Mr. McManus was born on December 8, 1926, in Easton, Mo., the oldest of 16 children of Joseph and Kathleen McManus. He was an Army Veteran of WWII and was employed with General Motors, retiring after 37 years of service. He was also a member of the Eagles Post in St. Joseph and a founding member of St. Gabriel’s Church . . .
