The County sites are back up. And here I was thinking no one ever uses them since Monica and Justin are the only contributors. But lo and behold, they are out there. Who knew.

The underlying problem hasn't been resolved. So if you find dead links or things that don't work, just use the back button.

Subject: Mary McKeener (or McKinney)
Source: St. Joseph Daily Morning Herald, 28 May 1876, p. 4

The body of Mary McKeener, the unfortunate young lady who was drowned with little Johnny O'Rourke near the bridge last Sunday, was found near Doniphan Friday night. The body was full identified and was brought to this city yesterday afternoon and later in the day was laid at rest in the Catholic cemetery. The hope of recovering the body of the boy is now greatly encouraged.

[There is another article, with no more information, that gives the name as McKinney.]
