Charles Curley, 71, died Sunday morning at his home in St. Jo. Born at Wathena, Kansas, he had lived in St. Joseph more than 20 years. He was a veteran of World War I.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mildred Curley of the home; five daughters, Mrs. Helen Hudson, Mrs. Hazel Johnson, Mrs. Nina Virginia Hockaday, Mrs. Betty Courtney and Mrs. Frieda Holaday, St. Jo; four sons, Charles M. Curley, Anaheim, Cal., Leo W. Curley, Kansas City, Mo., Robert Curley, Richmond, Va., and John Curley, Somerville, Mass.; 28 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services were held Tuesday in St. Jo, Ralph Johnson and Mike Savana officiating. Interment was in Ashland cemetery.
