The County sites are back up. And here I was thinking no one ever uses them since Monica and Justin are the only contributors. But lo and behold, they are out there. Who knew.

The underlying problem hasn't been resolved. So if you find dead links or things that don't work, just use the back button.

Fairview Negro Cemetery
Marshall, Saline County, Missouri

Fairview Cemetery is located at the end of East Vest Street in Marshall, north of the Ridge Park Cemetery.

According to the records, R. Jackson deeded, for one dollar, a tract of land to Fairview Cemetery in 1870. It is probably the largest African-American cemetery in Saline County.

Reprinted from Marshall, Missouri 1839-1989 Sesquicentennial Commemorative Book, p. 60. This listing was compiled by Byron B. Banta and students of Missouri Valley College during the mid-1980's. Andrea Hatfield of the Genealogy Department at the Marshall Public Library submitted the transcript of this cemetery. Updated and indexed 2009.
