Will of Charles Bostock

Pettis County, Missouri
Aug 31, 1857

Know all men by these presents that I Charles Bostock of the County of Pettis and State of Missouri do make ordain this my Last Will and testament to wit:

1st Item I will that all my just debts be first paid.

2nd Item I will that my wife Elizabeth have and enjoy all my property both real and personal during her natural life.

3rd Item At the death of my said wife I will that my step daughter Milicent H Obishon have and enjoy all my said property both real and personal as she remains a widow.

4th Item At the death of my said step daughter or should she marry again then in either case, I will that all my said property both real and personal be equally divided between Charles Obishon and John Obishon the children of my said Step daughter Milicent H Obishon to them the said Charles Obishon and John Obishon and their heirs forever.

5th Item I appoint my wife Elizabeth, Executor of this my last Will and testament and request that shall not be required to give security for the Execution of said trust. Given under my hand this 31st day of August 1857.

State of Missouri, County of Pettis. In vacation of the County Court. Be it remembered that on the 28th day of March 1860 personally appeared before the undersigned Samuel A Lowe, Clerk of the County Court of the County and State aforesaid, P T Parsons one of the subscribing Witnesses to the annexed will of Charles Bostock and being by me first duly sworn deposes and says that the said Charles Bostock the testator subscribed the same and declared in his presence that he subscribed same and published the said Will or instrument of Writing as his last will and that the said testator was at the time of publishing his said Will of Sound mind and more than twenty one years of age and that the said deponent attested the said will as a witness thereto by subscribing his name to the same in the presence of the testator.

In witness whereof I Saml A Lowe, Clerk of the County Court of the County of Pettis and state aforesaid have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed the seal of said Court at office in the County aforesaid this day and date aforesaid.
