Mrs. Betty Morton Douglass, seventy-five years old, a widow, died at 7:30 o'clock Saturday night at the Memorial Home, after an illness of ten days. Mrs. Douglass was born in Woodford County, KY. She had been a resident of St. Joseph forty years. Her husband died thirty two years ago. A sister, Mrs. Myra Stallard, lives in the French Bottoms. She had lived at the Memorial Home for thirteen years. The funeral was conducted at the Heaton-BeGole chapel at 10:30 o'clock this morning, Dr. W. R. Dobyns officiating, and burial was at Mount Mora Cemetery. The following named acted as pallbearers: Louis Huggins, L. M. Stallard, Ben Atchison, E. L. Auld and Thomas Evans.
