Garold William Hoffelmeyer, 92, St. Joseph, passed from this life on Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at Heartland Hospital, St. Joseph. He was born June 17, 1922, to Carl and Pearl (Vetter) Hoffelmeyer. Garold served in the U.S. Army from December 1942 until November 1945. He was in the China-Burma-India Theater. Garold married Clara V. Bowland on August 10, 1947. He was a farmer, a member of the United Methodist Church, Amazonia, Mo., a member of the VFW, served three terms on the Savannah RIII school board, and taught woodworking to 4-H Kids . . .
