We only ask that you (1) not use our photos for commercial purposes and (2) don't upload them to Find A Grave.
Didn't think that was asking too much, but apparently, we were wrong.
The solution? Watermark the photos. Doesn't matter if you can't read them, right?
Kelly, optimist that she is, assumes that people just don't know about these requests because they never see the admonition on the front page. I think that problem has been taken care of.
Now, we'll see if she was right.
If you have, inadvertently, posted our photos to Find A Grave because you didn't know we would prefer you not, please remove them immediately. And let us know which memorials for which you'd like photos posted. We're taking pictures faster than we can index, process and upload them -- so if you're looking for someone, you just need to let us know.
