Jimmy D. Russell, 62, St. Joseph, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2006 at his home. Mr. Russell was born Aug. 7, 1943 in St. Joseph, where he was a lifelong resident. Jimmy worked as a carpenter and superintendent in the construction industry for over 30 years before retiring last year. He was preceded in death by his father, Reed Russell; and a brother, Mike Russell.
Survivors include: two daughters, Stacey Case, Savannah, Mo., Stephanie Russell, St. Joseph; two sons, Jeff Russell and Jason Russell, both of St. Joseph; mother, Josephine Holzhauser Russell, Elwood, Kan.; seven brothers, Donald Russell, Amazonia, Mo., John Russell, Conroe, Texas, Ray Russell, Floresville, Texas, Bill Russell, St. Joseph, Tim Russell, Faucett, Mo., Joe Russell, Elwood, and Sherrill Russell, Wathena, Kan.; three sisters, Peggy Bryson, Las Vegas, NV, Sally Hubbard, Los Osos, Calif., and Linda Clark, Bella Vista, Ark; three grandchildren, Halee Russell, Aaron Pollard, and Lance Pollard.
Services: 1:30 p.m, Wednesday at the Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. Interment: Bellemont Cemetery, Wathena. Family will receive friends from 4 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday evening only.
