Forest Evans, 58, Dies at His Home
Forest Evans, a construction worker for the Bushman Construction co., died this morning at his home, 1705 Center street. The 58 year-old native of DeKalb county was a member of the Boilermakers and Iron Workers Union.
Surviving are his wife, Minnie, of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Marie Saunders, Kansas City, and Mrs. Alice Welch, and Mrs. Lavona Younger, both of St. Joseph; three sons, Howard Evans, Willowbrook, Mo.; Donald Evans, St. Joseph, and William Evans, with the navy at San Diego, Cal.; two sisters, Mrs. Sudie Wallace and Mrs. Lyda Tethrow, St. Joseph; three brothers, William and Paul Evans, both of St. Joseph; and John Evans, living in California, and 12 grandchildren. The body is at Heaton-Bowman’s.
