Zimmerschied, Harry J. (1990)

SABETHA, Kan. - Harry J. Zimmerschied, 84, Sabetha, died Monday, March 19, 1990, at a local hospital.

Mr. Zimmerschied was born in Mora, Mo. He moved to Morrill, Kan., in 1934, where he owned and operated a service station for several years.

He was a self-employed truck driver from 1939 to 1970. He then worked as a school bus driver for Morrill-Sabetha School District No. 441.

He had been a member of the Sabetha Congregational Church since 1970.

Mr. Zimmerschied married the former Gladys Norris on May 28, 1969. She survives of the home. He was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.

Additional survivors: two daughters, Amelia Hoffman of Sabetha, and Betty Wilson of Leavenworth, Kan.; two brothers, Bill of Morrill, and Edger of Sedalia, Mo.; two sisters, Mabel McKim of Morrill, Kan., and Ruby Oehrke of Smithton, Mo.; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services: 2 p.m. Thursday, Popkess Mortuary of Sabetha. Burial: Sabetha Cemetery. Visitation: after 1 p.m. today at the mortuary.
