LATHROP, Mo. - James S. Boyd, 95, Lathrop, formerly of Camden Point, Mo., died Tuesday, June 25, 1991, at a health-care center here.
Born near Camden Point, Mr. Boyd was reared and attended school there.
In 1918, he married the former Glenn M. Cockriel. The couple farmed in the Camden Point and Edgerton, Mo., areas until retiring in 1963 and moving to Camden Point.
Mr. Boyd was a member of the Little Platte Baptist Church and later the Camden Point Baptist Church. He also was a 50-year member of the Camden Point Masonic Lodge No 169, A.F. & A.M.
He was preceded in death by his wife, in 1979; a son, Raymond, in 1981; four brothers, William R., Luther F., Charles A. and Earl G.; and three sisters, Etta Farmer, Zobedia Seuell and Ida Sowell Wilson.
Surviving: a daughter, Christine Jacks of Camden Point; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Service: 11 a.m. Friday, Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Edgerton. Burial: Camden Point Cemetery. Visitation: 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
