Louis Colburn Fatally Stricken at Work at Dugdale Plant

Louis F. Colburn, 59, was stricken while at work at Dugdale Packing Co. this morning and was pronounced dead on arrival at a St. Joseph hospital. He was a butcher and had been with Dugdale's for 20 years.

A lifelong resident of St. Joseph, Mr. Colburn resided at 6527 Brown. He was a member of the King Hill Christian Church. He belonged to the King Hill Masonic Lodge, 32d degree Scottish Rite, and Moila Temple Shrine.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Colburn, Elwood; two daughters, Mrs. Cleva Franken, St. Joseph, and Miss Charlene Colburn, Independence, Mo.; four sisters, Mrs. Hattie Ford, St. Joseph; Mrs. Mary Ann Dreier, Faucett; Mrs. Bertha Crisco and Mrs. Wilma McKee, both of Southwest City, Mo., six grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Service arrangements are pending at the Rupp funeral home.
